Minor Areas

Biology has evolved into a multidisciplinary science, with significant contributions from mathematicians, computer scientists, and engineers over the past decade, leading to a deeper comprehension of biological phenomena. Acknowledging the vast potential of Biological Sciences across various domains of life, the School now presents the "Minor Area in Biological Sciences" program for undergraduate students at IIT Delhi.

To earn the Minor Area Degree, students are required to take three foundational courses: SBL100, SBL201, and SBP200. Additionally, they have the opportunity to select from a wide range of more than 20 electives offered by the School. Accumulating a total of 20 credits through these courses makes students eligible for the Minor Area Degree, allowing them to explore the captivating realm of Biological Sciences while pursuing their primary academic interests.
